DigiAsia Corp. has announced a strategic plan to incorporate Bitcoin into its corporate treasury.
With Board approval, the company will allocate up to 50% of its net profits toward acquiring Bitcoin (BTC) as a long-term digital reserve asset, according to a company release.
To jumpstart the initiative, DigiAsia, a fintech firm focused on digital financial services in emerging markets, is exploring a capital raise of up to $100 million, aiming to build a robust Bitcoin position.
The company is also assessing capital markets options such as equity-linked offerings, convertible notes, and structured crypto finance instruments to support the raise.
Co-CEO Prashant Gokarn described Bitcoin as a “foundational layer for modern treasury diversification,” stating that the move reflects DigiAsia’s broader commitment to fintech and blockchain innovation.
As a result of the news, DigiAsia’s stock soared over 180% in early Monday trading.
Yield-generating strategy
In addition to holding Bitcoin, DigiAsia plans to deploy yield-generating strategies, including institutional lending and staking, through regulated partners. These efforts are intended to enhance treasury performance while preserving shareholder value.
The company joins a growing number of Nasdaq-listed firms integrating digital assets into treasury management.
DigiAsia’s approach aims to balance long-term crypto exposure with income-generating tools, positioning it at the forefront of institutional adoption across Southeast Asia, India, and the Middle East.
