Yield Guild Games (YGG) announced Thursday the launch of vibecode.game, a web platform dedicated to the publication and discovery of browser games created with artificial intelligence tools. The organization also partnered with Minds by Animoca Brands to host a four-week virtual game jam starting July 13, 2026.
The new platform functions as a launchpad where creators can publish games and access community-driven features such as curated rankings, reviews, and developer profiles. According to YGG, the platform aims to address distribution and discoverability obstacles currently faced by independent developers utilizing AI code assistants.
Game Jam and AI Tool Integration
The upcoming competition, titled the vibecode.game X Minds by Animoca Brands Game Jam, features a total prize pool consisting of $2,500 in Minds platform credits and $2,500 in YGG tokens.
- The event marks the public release of Minds’ “Game Designer Mind,” a specialized AI agent designed to assist users with game mechanics and systems design.
- The competition schedule includes a development phase from July 13 to July 27, followed by a public community voting period ending August 2.
- A judging panel featuring YGG co-founder Gabby Dizon and Animoca Labs Vice President Mo Ezeldin will evaluate the final entries, with winners scheduled for announcement on August 10, 2026.
Shift in YGG Operations
The launch of the new platform follows YGG’s announcement on July 6, 2026, that it will entirely sunset its previous web3 game publishing business unit, YGG Play, by August 1, 2026. The organization cited a severe macroeconomic downturn and capital outflows within the crypto market as the primary reasons for discontinuing the unprofitable unit.
YGG is currently restructuring its operations to focus on the global AI training dataset market, where its community will generate behavioral data through gameplay. The organization stated that the closure of YGG Play and the pivot toward AI data initiatives do not constitute an exit from web3, and operations for the core YGG token will continue as normal.
